“I always wanted to be in the Dash! I can’t believe I’ve just won, I’m so happy..”
Lucy Rowe Yr 3 Pittington / June 2018
Everything around Durham Cathedral is dwarfed by it’s sheer size and majesty, but the energy, laughter and positive ‘vibe’ of The Durham Dash was a fantastic complement to the surroundings.
The children were ‘buzzing’ with excitement, all 800 of them, and it’s wonderful to see so many taking part in so many sporting activities.
All of your hard work paid off, it was a great success, and we, The MGL Group are proud to be associated with such a positive event.

Great night had by all … yet again! Everything was so well organised and ran smoothly. Thanks for hosting another fantastic Durham Dash.
I really enjoyed the Dash! as I got to race with kids from schools we don’t usually compete against. I like that it’s really well organised and there are fun activities to do between the events.

It’s excellent to see so many young people from the local community getting involved in the Sedgefield Dash! and it’s a nice change to witness a complete absence of mobile phones and other electronic devices.
This is a fantastic venue and the event organisers and supporters have done an excellent job of encouraging so many children to be more active.
Cllr David Brown, Mayor of Sedgefield
Both Warrens Dash! finals were fantastic events and it was so good to see so many young people getting active and clearly enjoying the experience.

Warrens Dash! 2018
The aim of the Dash! is to provide an inspirational athletics event for our school children within a unique County Durham setting, and at the same time promote sport and physical activity as a positive lifestyle choice for children and their families.
At a time when we use the Olympics and our Olympians as leading role models it is important that we provide and maintain an aspirational platform for individuals to show their talents as well as promote the role that schools and the School Sport Partnership play inspiring our next generation of leaders and citizens through school Sport and PE.
