Sedgefield School Sport Partnership is a provider of high quality school sport opportunities for young people of all abilities, working with 5 Secondary Schools, 4 Special Schools and 40 Primary Schools.
Sedgefield SSP transitioned into a Community Interest Company in 2012 in order to make the organisation more sustainable in its work to benefit the community.

Primary School Support
Supporting schools in making sustainable improvements to their PE curriculum via high quality sport coaches working alongside teachers, specialist PE teachers supporting PE Subject Leaders and individual teachers and a comprehensive programme of CPD opportunities for teachers.
A range of sports competitions and festivals throughout the academic year for Primary and Secondary Schools. 72 events per year are organised allowing opportunities for all young people to compete or participate at their own level as well as providing a pathway schools or young athletes to County Finals. In addition to this organisation and delivery of the School Games.
Providing a variety of opportunities for Sports Leadership programmes to pupils in Primary and Secondary Schools. This ranges from ‘one off’ leadership support at events to the delivery of a Young Coaches Academy.
North East Hub for Sport Futures Training PE Apprenticeship Programme Scheme. Young people are employed in School 4 days a week as a PE apprentice and attend college 1 day per week to complete an NVQ qualification. There are currently 70+ young people on the programme across the North East.
